It’s time for another update on Jack, our apprentice continues to make strides here at Superior Freight Services. Since our last blog, Jack has tackled a wide range of challenges head-on, continuing to grow into a confident and capable member of the team. Here’s a look at what he’s been up to over the past quarter:

BTEC Customs Course – Completed!
Jack successfully completed the intensive BTEC Customs Compliance course, covering five full days of training (plus homework and assessments!). The course included modules on import/export procedures, CPC and HS codes, and temporary shipments.

Managing Import Air Freight
Jack’s now handling live import air freight jobs, coordinating shipments from the USA, working with our partner agents, for our weekly consol into LHR. Arranging collections, liaising with airlines, and overseeing some final-mile deliveries — including de-branding cartons back at our UK warehouse and preparing products for our customers.

Back in the Driver’s Seat: German Road Freight
Taking back control of our weekly DE–GB service, Jack is now hands-on with our German trucking operation. From LTL pallets to loose cartons.

Handling Road Imports
In addition to the German route, Jack has taken on several other European import road shipments — managing documentation, liaising with hauliers, and ensuring customs compliance throughout.

Completing Customs Declarations
Jack is now confidently submitting customs declarations for both import and export consignments — a milestone that reflects just how far his knowledge and practical skills have come in such a short time.

Well Done Jack!

Stay tuned for more updates as he continues to grow with Superior Freight Services.
