January: A Deep Dive into Export Operations
Jack kicked off the year with an exciting dive into our export team’s activities. January was all about getting hands-on with our operating system, where Jack spent significant time opening jobs, booking collections with airlines, and arranging collections and deliveries. This was no small feat! The tasks ranged from managing the complexities of booking shipments with multiple airlines to ensuring every collection and delivery went off without a hitch.
A key focus for Jack was quoting export shipments, courier services were his priority, and Jack was a great team player providing accurate quotes. His attention to detail and proactive approach made him a valuable asset to our export team as we worked to provide clients with the best service possible.
February: From Warehouse to European Road Exports
As February rolled around, Jack shifted his focus to a new challenge: the warehouse! Spending several days in our bustling warehouse, Jack was busy checking in nearly 200 pallets of cargo. Precision required, with support, as Jack stored the pallets in batches, following detailed instructions. To ensure the process was as smooth as possible, he also updated our warehouse system, which allows clients to view their virtual warehouse in real-time. This online system is key for keeping everything transparent and organised for our clients.
But Jack didn’t stop there. As the month went on, he jumped back into the world of European road exports, where his main task was booking transport collections. Whether coordinating the logistics or ensuring vehicles were booked in a timely manner, Jack played a crucial role in keeping our European exports running like clockwork.
March: Taking His Skills to the Next Level
Fast forward to March, and Jack's journey took another exciting turn with the start of his BIFA BTEC Customs Training. This one-day-a-week course is a game-changer for Jack, allowing him to level up his knowledge in customs processes and regulations. It's all part of our ongoing commitment to helping our team grow and develop their skills, ensuring we continue to deliver top-tier service to our clients.
This training has not only helping Jack enhance his understanding of customs procedures but also empowering him to be an even more effective part of our team. We can't wait to see how this new knowledge will be put to use as Jack continues to grow with Superior Freight Services.
